Sometimes you don’t choose your career; it chooses you. What I mean is, some people are born to do certain things. That’s how I feel about writing. Ever since I was a kid, I used to write stories and create characters. Later in life, I realized the reasons why I was drawn to writing classes in high school, college, and in the military. I wrote my first manuscript, which took two years to complete. However, it would take another ten years to get published. Many times I thought about just giving up. I even put my manuscript in the drawer for a year or so. When something isn’t working for you, sometimes you have to back away and take a different view from another angle, which I did, and my first book, “Southern Justice,” was published in 2007. Fast forward, I’ve published seven books and I’m currently working on my 8th and 9th books. The moral of this story is that without failures we would be less resilient. And failures make us want to strive harder to be the best we can be. My books are available in paperback, ebooks, and audiobooks. The audiobooks are also available in many languages.
